Finally decisions about new server are set up, and i ordered a new dell 2950 rack server with 5mbit flat line.

Ok all this power for about 50.000 visit per day, and big database, tha actual server (p4 3ghz, 2gb ram, sata 7200rpm disk) is at 100% cpu stable ;-) so better to move to a new and powerful system

the dell  has this configuration

1 quad core xeon 2.5 ghz 6mb cache (1 spare socket for 2nd cpu)

4 gb ram (32 gb scalable)

2x146gb 15.000rpm sas disk raid 1

2x146gb 15.000 rpm sas disk raid 1

1x 250gb backup sata

4 hour service support

double power supply

i think that with this new machine sites will be a lot faster !! and i can even think of future upgrades, second processors and ram up to 32 gb.

the disk system is pretty powerful !
