substantially the steps to make an "hdr" from a single raw file is to export 3 or more images from your original raw with your raw processor in tif format each with -3 0 +3 exposure difference. next is to assembly the pic with your hdr program, there are free ones available like Picturenaut or photmatix and voilą export a jpeg
